Transient Workers Count Too was happily surprised when two unexpected donations came in in the days leading up to Christmas.
Vidula (below, at left) brought a cheque for $10,000 — money she raised by baking 200 cakes and selling them to her friends and contacts. It must have been a hectic few weeks for her. We can imagine flour and butter everywhere. The “hot” cakes went so fast we don’t even have a picture of them!

A few days earlier, another unexpected donation came in. A few boxes were sent by a former volunteer who remembered the workers whom TWC2 helps. Inside the boxes were very practical, useful items such as towels (picture in header), shaving kits, shampoo, bath soap, water bottles and packet drinks.
We sent them off immediately the same evening to our meal station to distribute them to TWC2’s out-of-work clients there.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness!
