We have launched our annual fundraising event: Lunch With Heart!

Organized in conjunction with International Migrants Day (18 Dec), Lunch With Heart will be held on 3 Dec this year. It gives the workers a day filled with fun, music, games, and delicious food. The lunch event is a beautiful way for Singaporeans to thank migrant workers for their sacrifices in building our city, and at the same time to support TWC2’s work to improve their lives here in Singapore.

As we are a non-profit organisation, we rely greatly on the support of those who also believe in a fairer, more compassionate future for migrant workers.

There are roughly 690,300 migrant workers in Singapore. Building our MRT lines and caring for our elderly and our children, they form the backbone of our society and economy. Yet they are poorly paid, and often treated badly by employers. Sometimes, salaries are not paid, rest days are denied, and housing is unsafe and unhygienic; workers are also physically and psychologically abused, and abandoned when injured, without adequate medical treatment or left with no income.

TWC2 extends a lifeline to low-wage migrant workers who have been injured, underpaid, or abused by employers. We help them navigate these problems, and advocate for a better system for them.

Your donations will fund the lunch event, and also pay for daily free meals for workers with no income, their journeys to medical and MOM appointments, emergency medical treatment, and more. These services don’t just help the workers directly, they also serve to help us push for changes in policy that solve the workers’ problems permanently.
